A Jaipur artist has sculpted an eight-foot marble idol of Raje, costing Rs 21 lakh, and it will be unveiled on the completion of the temple in her honour at Jodhpur.

Apart from worshipping her idol "every morning and evening in a temporary shelter", Bohra vows to construct a temple to house the statue by 2014.

Bohra says he was deeply influenced by Raje during her Parivartan Yatra, and insists he sees Goddess Vasundhara in her.

He is said to have written a chalisa (chant) in Raje's honour, and influenced by her Annapurna mid-day meal scheme, released a poster depicting her as a goddess.
