Ten killed in mishaps in Karnataka

Ten people are killed and four injured in two separate road accidents in Chitradurga and Uttarakannada districts of Karnataka.

Ten people were killed and four injured in two separate road accidents in Chitradurga and Uttarakannada districts of Karnataka on Tuesday, police said.

Six persons were killed on the spot and one injured when the car in which they were travelling collided head-on with a lorry at Rayapura in Chitradurga district early on Tuesday.

The other mishap involved an autorickshaw and a state owned bus at Gorti village in Uttarakannada district, in which four persons were killed and three injured.

The victims were travelling by the three-wheeler when the bus hit the vehicle, police said.
