TENSION IS refusing to die down in Damoh. Now, a newly formed organisation — Hindu Jagrati Manch – an umbrella body of 57 different religious and social organisation, today called for the district bandh on Friday for the immediate arrest of rapists of a minor, and opening up of an old Rukmani Temple under ASI control in Kundalpur.

The Damoh district had witnessed stone pelting and violence following difference between the Jain community members and Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) & administration over shifting of Bade Baba idol.

Different religious and social organisations are unhappy with the police and district administration over the rape of a 9-year-old girl who had gone to see the idol of Bade Baba in Kundalpur area some two days back.
