Security forces on Tuesday foiled a terrorist attack in the areas under Kishtawar police station of Doda district by arresting a hardcore terrorist of Pakistan based Lashkar-e-Toiba, official sources said in Jammu.

Doda SSP Manohar Singh said, security forces arrested nine persons including one Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist, three Over Ground Workers (OGW) and one Special Police Officer (SPO) in three separate incidents in Doda district.

The hardcore terrorist from LeT was arrested by security forces and two live Chinese made grenades were also recovered from his possession.

The terrorist was identified as Mohammad Yusuf from Hatli Mod Kothwa.

Meanwhile security forces intercepted a Bullero car and arrested three supporters of Hizbul Mujahideen with three powerful grenades in one of the areas falling under Thathari police staion. They also recovered Rs 1.70 lakh from their possession.

The third incident took place in Kishwar where three suspected persons including a SPO were arrested.
