"We currently have six hotels. We will open six more by 2013," Company's Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, Sanjoy Pasricha said.

The new properties would come up in Delhi, Chennai, Agra, Hyderabad, Pune and Ashtamudi(Kerala), he said, without giving investment details.

The company will add 2,000 rooms with these six new properties.

He said while occupancy levels have gone up in the hotel industry by about 15-20 per cent recently, the yields have still not improved.

"The occupancy levels for the hotels have moved up from 60 per cent in the last quarter of 2008 to 75-80 per cent in the last quarter of 2009. But the yields have still not improved as there is regular supply (of rooms) coming in at every (price) point," Pasricha added.

The Leela already has properties in Udaipur, Gurgoan (Haryana), Kovalam, Goa, Bangalore and Mumbai.
