Most girls dream about being tall and slim. However, for a teenage 6ft 4 inches British girl, her height turned into her biggest curse after vicious bullying drove her out of school.
13-year old Caroline Stillman, whose height is a result of Marfan syndrome — which also affects the heart, said that she had become the butt of cruel jokes and vicious bullying soon after she had joined Uppingham Community College.
"They would call me a giraffe, lanky bitch, tree, long-legged bitch, trampy giant and all sort of other insults," The Sun quoted her, as saying.
"I don't understand why people have to be so cruel. When it first started I tried to ignore it. But it has really lowered my confidence and really scared me," she added.
After finally having had their fill of the bullying, Caroline's parents have taken the matter to the police who are now treating it 'a criminal matter'.
Inspector Adam Streets said that the police were working to bring Caroline’s tormentors to justice.
"We will take action to bring those responsible to justice," he said.
