Thirteen people including three women, suffered burn injuries when an LPG cylinder caught fire at a house in Saran district of Bihar today.

When a woman switched on the light of the kitchen, the cylinder caught fire from a tiny electric spark, Officer in-charge of Chapra police station Jairam Sharma said.

Three women of the household were all in flames and immediately rushed to Patna Medical College Hospital in critical condition.

Ten others from the neighbourhood, who tried to rescue the women, suffered minor burn injuries and were undergoing treatment at the Sadar hospital.
