Three arrested, ganja held in Bengal

Sacks of ganja were being carried from Nagaland to Nabadwip in Bengal

Three persons, including two women, were arrested today on the charge of carrying five tons of ganja in a truck on National Highway-34 at Behrampore in Murshidabad district.

Acting on a tip-off the truck was stopped at Girja More here and searched for the sacks of ganja which was being carried from Nagaland to Nabadwip in Bengal, customs officials
said.

The arrested persons are being interrogated and the lorry has been seized with the consignment of narcotics, the police said.
