Police arrested Nitu Pal alias Titu, Rajesh Kumar and Akbar Khaliq on charges of sections 376 (rape) and 328 (causing hurt by means of poison, etc., with intent to commit an offence) of IPC. The men are in the age group of 25-30 years and work as local transport operators.

The woman is from Ghaziabad and works in a private company in Noida.

Police said Nitu Pal had called her on Monday afternoon on some pretext. He drugged her by offering her a cold drink laced with sedatives and alcohol. Thereafter, the three men took her to an under-construction building at Shalimar Garden and repeatedly raped her over three hours.

The police later found the woman in a drugged state. After gaining consciousness, she lodged a complaint and several teams of Sahibabad and Vijay Nagar police station conducted raids to arrest the men.

"The woman came in contact with Nitu around 15 days back and he lured her to the scene of crime on pretext of attending a ceremony at his house. The woman's medical reports are awaited," senior superintendent of police (SSP) Prashant Kumar told Hindustan Times.

All the three accused are residents of Sahibabad and were produced before a Ghaziabad court on Tuesday.
