Three killed in house collapse in Dharwad

Three members of a family have been killed and two others injured when their house collapsed in Lakshmisinganakere area in Dharwad, due to the torrential showers that has been pounding twin cities of Hubli-Dharwad since three days.

Police said the dilapidated tile roofed house crashed when the victims were sleeping on Wednesday night.

The injured have been admitted to a hospital.

A report from Chikamagalur said the temple town of Sringeri has remained cut off from rest of the district as Tunga river was over flowing, making vehicular movement impossible.
