Three killed in road accident in Tezpur
Three persons of a marriage party were killed and another eight injured in a road accident in central Assam's Sonitpur district this morning, official sources said.

Three persons of a marriage party were killed and another eight injured in a road accident in central Assam's Sonitpur district this morning, official sources said.
The bus, carrying the victims, collided with another vehicle on the Koliabhumora bridge over river Brahmaputra around 8 am killing the three on the spot, the sources said.
Stating the marriage party was coming from Nagaon district across the river to Rangajan in Sonitpur, the sources said, it was not immediately known if the bride and groom were in the bus.
Police rushed to the accident site and rescued the injured and sent them for medical treatment to Tezpur, headquarters of the district.
The dead were identified as Suren Mondal, Dhiren Roy and Sachin Mondal, the sources added.
