Three people were on Saturday lynched in separate incidents in Bihar's Bhojpur and Bhagalpur districts, the police said.

A man and a woman were beaten to death for allegedly having an illicit relationship, at Paruri village in the jurisdiction of Sandesh police station in Bhojpur district, Deputy superintendent of police ZA Rehaman said.

He identified the victims as Suraj Kumar Singh and Sanjhora Devi, both residents of Paruri village.

An FIR has been registered against four people, he said.

In a separate incident, a tempo driver identified as Subhash was beaten to death by residents of Naya Tola locality under Naugachia police station in Bhagalpur district for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl on Friday.

The condition of the victim was stated to be critical in hospital.

Her father Sone Lal Mandal has filed an FIR against the driver.

The police registered an FIR against unknown persons for the death of the driver.
