Three passengers looted in a train

Three passengers travelling in a Delhi-bound train were allegedly looted by a group of unidentified armed persons between Panipat and Samalkha railway stations in Sonepat, police said on Monday.

Three passengers travelling in a Delhi-bound train were allegedly looted by a group of unidentified armed persons between Panipat and Samalkha railway stations in Sonepat, police said on Monday.

The men, who boarded the Kalka-Howrah Mail at Panipat, allegedly assaulted and snatched Rs 6,600 from the passengers and got down from the train when it halted at Ganaur railway station, they said.

The passengers who were looted are Mohammad Arif Hussain, a resident of Budel village of Bihar and Ramesh Pal and Sonu from Uttar Pradesh.

The Government Railway Police has registered a case against the unidentified persons, who are still at large.
