This year some of the big names are missing from the Olympic line-up and this list is headed by the ‘fastest man’, Tim Montgomery. The athlete has been surrounded with accusations of steroid usage and in the midst of all this controversy he failed to make it to the Olympic team for 100 metres as he finished seventh in the US Olympic Trials.
The world record holder in the 100 has been charged by the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). He is one of the four sprinters who have been charged by USADA for steroid use and face lifetime ban if found guilty.
