Time for some soul-searching

I came to the US when I was only 8 years old and have accepted the western values without any problems. And yet, I'm devout Muslim. What is going on these days in the name of Islam is shameful. These so-called Islam lovers have hijacked the religion. Look at these fanatic - Hamas, Talibans. These are not Muslims but down-right criminals.

What is going on these days in the name of Islam is shameful. These so-called Islam lovers have hijacked the religion and brought a shameful name to it. Look at these fanatic Pakistanis, Hamas, Talibans and many in the Middle East. These are not Muslims but down-right criminals.

Look at the self-beating by Shia Muslims in Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, etc. Beating oneself is ridiculous and stupid. This is not Islam.

And what is this cry over cartoons? Why did we Muslims not say or do anything when Taliban destroyed beautiful Bamiyan Buddha mountain carvings in Afghanistan? We Muslims are hypocrites and cry babies.

Let us become civilised and be more tolerant.
