I have been reading AG Noorani’s articles in the fond hope of finding something new on national unity (Signalling a wide, June 6). But all I find is the familiar acerbic tone against the BJP and the RSS. Noorani should know the RSS has many social service feathers in its cap which it earns in times of national calamity. Can Noorani cite a single example of the hardline Muslim clergy and its madrasas having come to the rescue of their Indian brethren in times of national disasters? Why is HT is giving precious space to this writer time and again?

AG Noorani does not seem able to get beyond bashing the BJP and RSS. He has gone into the political and religious history of India just to prove one point: that he doesn’t like the RSS and the BJP. He could have said all this just as well in a letter to the editor.
