Talking to newsmen, Tripathi ridiculed Azam for making such an unwarranted demand.

“Azam Khan is trying to shatter the communal harmony of the State and inciting communal violence,” Tripathi charged.

Further venting his ire on Azam Khan and the State Government, the BJP leader stated that it was unfortunate for the people of the State to have such a minister in the State Cabinet. On forthcoming Vidhan Sabha elections, Tripathi said that BJP was well prepared for the elections.

Replying to a query, Tripathi said, “About 20 to 35 per cent of the party ticket will be given to youths in the coming Vidhan Sabha elections.”

He said that at the time of distribution of ticket all considerations, including caste, would be taken into account.

He also advocated proper representation to women in the next Assembly polls.
The State BJP president also asserted that the party would not enter into any pre or post election alliance with any political party.
