Troops recovered 20 kg IED in Doda

Security forces on Saturday detected 20 kgs of Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by suspected militants, in the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.
Rashtriya Rifle (RR) troops during routine patrolling detected the IED on the Doda-Bharat road at Udianpur, they said, adding the area has been cordoned off and traffic suspended.
Meanwhile, experts have defused the explosive, they said, adding that they suspect the IED was planted to target the vehicles of security forces and civilians plying on this road.
