Chemicals worth lakhs of rupees gutted and several nearby houses developed cracks due to fire. Fortunately no one was injured in the fire but some valuable goods of labourers working there were reportedly turned into rubble.

Though the exact reason behind fire was not clear, but firemen were assuming that it could be caused by some inflammable substance. According to eyewitnesses, huge flames started emanating from two factories—Vertex Chemicals and Vikram Chemicals. According to information at 2 pm, suddenly a massive fire broke out in the factories following explosions.

An eyewitness Ravi said, “We thought that bombs were exploded and after seeing high flames we thought that some thing untoward had happened in our area and we all got scared and were trying to save our lives.”
