Two held, arms recovered
Cops arrested two miscreants, allegedly on way to eliminate Samajwadi Party MLA from Bhadohi, Vijay Mishra in Bhadohi district on Sunday evening.
Cops arrested two miscreants, allegedly on way to eliminate Samajwadi Party MLA from Bhadohi, Vijay Mishra in Bhadohi district on Sunday evening.
The arrested miscreants were identified as Pradhan of Gosaipur, Narendra Singh alias Kukku and Yogendra Shukla, a resident of Saidabad in Allahabad district.
Police is reported to have recovered three carbines, one 455 bore revolver, hand grenades and other ammunition from the possession of the arrested miscreants.
Later, the supporters of Narendra Singh staged dharna outside the Police Lines in protest against arrests .
As per information, Vijay Mishra was campaigning for Asharam Gupta alias Pahalwan, a Samajwadi PArty candidate for chairman of Gopiganj nagar palika parishad.
Meanwhile, five miscreants who came in a Qualis car, intercepted the Mishra’s procession. Sensing some trouble, the SP workers informed the SP MLA about it.
The police personnel deployed for the rally and security guards of the MLA gheraoed the miscreants. Although, three of the five miscreants managed to flee from the scene, two were arrested on the spot.
Despite repeated attempts, SP Bhadhoi could not be reached for his comments on the incident.
