Two children, including a seven-year-old girl, were seriously injured in a landmine explosion in a remote village along the Line of Control in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

"Two minors were critically injured in a landmine blast last evening in Keri Sector close to the LoC in Rajouri district," official spokesperson here said.
He said the injured, identified as Nazakat Ali, 9, son of Mohammad Aziz and Gulnaz Kousher, 7, daughter of Abdul Hamid, both residents of village Thathyali, were grazing animals and playing in a field near an army post when they found a drifted lanemine and started fiddling with it.
"The mine exploded and both of them were seriously wounded. The boy lost his right hand, foot and eye," sources told UNI.
They were immediately shifted to district hospital from where Nazakat was referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital in Jammu.
"We are investigating the matter," police sources added.
