Two killed, nine injured in mishaps

Two people were killed and nine injured in separate accidents across Kashmir Valley, police said on Monday. According to a police statement, seven people were injured when a truck skidded off the road at Nagabal, Budgam, in central Kashmir and fell in a nearby stream.

According to a police statement, seven people were injured when a truck skidded off the road at Nagabal, Budgam, in central Kashmir and fell in a nearby stream.

The injured were shifted to the Charar-e-Sharief hospital nearby. Four of them were referred to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) Hospital in Srinagar, where Mohammad Kamal Teli, resident of Pakherpora, succumbed to his injuries.

A case was registered.

In another road accident at Chinner village near Ganderbal in central Kashmir on Saturday, one Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh was injured, and later succumbed to his injuries at SMHS Hospital.

A Tata Sumo hit a motorcycle at KP Chowk, Anantnag, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist Bopinder Singh of Punjab. He has been referred to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
