Two poachers arrested for killing peacocks

Two poachers have been arrested for allegedly killing two peacocks in an orchard in Garhmukteshwar area here, police said on Saturday.

The poachers were arrested yesterday when they were trying to escape with the carcasses of the dead peacocks, they said. The accused Sompal (48) and Paranveer (45) have been arrested and a criminal case under Wildlife Protection Act has been registered.
