Two dismissed students of a leading private school in Coimbatore were detained for allegedly making hoax bomb threat to the school but let off with a warning, police said.

The two 10th standard students, dismissed for bad conduct from the Stanes School and now studying in Chennai and Tiruchirappalli respectively, had yesterday called the school on telephone and stated that bomb had been planted in its premises.

After investigation, the students' role was established in the hoax threat and they were 'secured and interrogated.' Police Commissioner C Sylendra Babu warned and admonished them and considering their education ordered their release, police said.
