Two workers have been killed and three others suffered severe burn injuries when an explosion took place at a chemical factory in Pune.

Two workers were killed and three others suffered severe burn injuries when an explosion took place at a chemical factory on the Sinhgarh road, about 15 kms from Pune on Tuesday.

The blast, at the small-scale unit involved in fibre-moulding, resulted in a fire when 11 workers were inside the factory. Three workers have sustained 80 per cent burns, fire brigade sources said.
