Actress Uma Thurman says her European looks affected her career options because Hollywood has been eager to cast her as a hardened tough woman.

According to Contactmusic.com, Thurman, who was able to show her soft side in her latest movie "Prime", says she is tired of being reduced to cliché parts.

She says: "You are so limited in this business by people's perceptions, and I know that a lot of people found me cold in the past. I am not alone in that - there are other ice-blonde, blue-eyed Nordic-looking actresses - but these clichés chase you around and it does get a little boring. 'Oh boy, they want me to play the German wife of the Nazi officer again. Tell them no!'"
