"The Popular Front of India was nurtured by CPI(M) and the people of Kerala are aware that the Congress Party has no tiets with it," Chandy told reporters in Kottayam.

The former Chief Minister advised CPI(M) to "rectify its mistakes' and march ahead and also analyse the steps it took in the last Assembly and Parliamentary elections.

Referring to the attack on a private college teacher in Moovattupuzha on Sunday, he said the incident had "only brought disrespect to people of Kerala".
