Pritam Singh, director of MDI, says the accreditation has placed the institution (founded in 1973) "on a new trajectory of growth".
The Association of MBAs has accredited MDI's National Management Programme and its Executive Management Programme, while the institute's Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management has been awarded the association's Pre-experience masters in general management (Pemm) accreditation.
Jeanette Purcell, chief executive of the Association of MBAs, says that India is an important and growing market for MBA programmes. She says, "MDI's accreditation will set the standard for other Indian business schools to follow." In the recent months the association had increased its international accreditation programme, with MBAs in Portugal, the US and Hong Kong.
MDI has links with - among others - Copenhagen Business School, Denmark, ESCP-EAP, France, Erasmus University, Rotterdam in the Netherlands and McGill University, Canada.
