Bharti, who had developed chest pain while on way to attend a poll rally and was on Thursday night admitted to the hospital, is better now and is taking light food, the doctors attending on her said.

Bharati is likely to be discharged on Friday, Dr Daulatrao Aher, also a city BJP MLA, and Dr Narayan Devgaonkar said.

The MP Chief Minister had addressed poll rallies at Aurangabad and took off to attend a poll rally of Union Minister Ram Naik at Dahisar on Thursday, when she reportedly felt 'chest pain' and asked the chopper commander to make an emergency landing at Akole in neighbouring Ahmednagar district.

After a primary check-up, she was brought here for further treatment.
