FIRST SHOWDOWN between Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Uma Bharti is slated tomorrow in Budhni constituency where both will address election meetings.

Uma Bharti will hold election meetings in support of the Gondwana Gantantra Party (GGP) candidate Gulzar Singh Markam on April 11 and 12. The CM would also be canvassing in the constituency tomorrow.

Former Union Minister Prahlad Patel said Uma Bharti would visit the constituency in a chopper tomorrow. She would first perform pooja of Vindhyavasini Devi at Salkanpur at 10 am.

From there, she would fly to Ladkui where she would address a public meeting at 11 am. She would later address public meetings at Chakldi at 2 pm, Mogra at 3 pm, Digwad at 4 pm and Budhni at 5 pm. She would then proceed to Bandrabhan by road to stay at night over there.

The next day, she would start her electioneering with a public meeting at Shahganj at 10 am. Later, she would address public meetings at Banya at 11 am, at Vasudev at 12 noon, at Piplani at 1 pm, and at Gopalpur at 2 pm. She would fly to Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh from Gopalpur.

The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh would extensively tour and address a number of public meetings. The places he would visit include Dobi, Satramau, Khoha, Isharpur, Gadhar, Cheekli, Khidiya, Righeda, Basgehan, Amon, Khairi, Silgena, Khitwai, Jeevantala, Siyagahan, Baktara, Machhwai and Khawada.


Independent pulls out, 16 in fray
ALTOGETHER 16 aspirants were left in the fray following the withdrawal of an Independent candidate on the last day of withdrawal of nominations today for the by-poll to Budhni Assembly constituency. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is seeking entry into the Assembly from Budhni, while those left in the fray included Congress’ RajkumarPatel, SP’s Narbada Prasad and GGP’s Gurkam Singh Markam.
