He will inaugurate the newly constructed building of the training centre, which also has the administrative office and hostel, at 10.15 am. Nair, who has three decades of experience in banking, took over as CMD of the Union Bank on April 1. He started his career in Corporation Bank and held several important positions.

During his 20-month tenure at Dena Bank, both as executive director and later as CMD, his achievement lies in getting an MoU signed with the staff unions and associations of the bank, on employee participation in business growth – one of the best practices in public sector banks.

The initiative mooted by him on employee participation was further carried forward in building a shared vision of the bank for year

2010. The Vision 2010 was formally adopted and launched by Dena Bank on February 15, 2006, with an objective to ‘Position the Bank as the most preferred bank of customers choice in its area of operations’.
