Yadav also blamed Union government for adopting double standard while providing electricity to the state. He said Haryana and Punjab were drawing extra power from Grid Corporation of India but the state quota had been slashed by the Union Government. Yadav said the people of UP would give a befitting reply to the Congress in forthcoming Assembly elections.

Hitting hard on former prime minister VP Singh for launching an agitation against state government, Yadav said the movement was sponsored by the Congress to defame the State Government. He said the Congress-led Haryana government had allotted 10,000 acres land to an industrialist in Haryana but VP Singh never raised a question regarding it.

Highlighting the policies of the SP government, he claimed that party's gained popularity as Mulayam Singh had taken some concrete steps for the welfare of weaker section. He quoted the unemployment allowances and Kanya Vidya Dhan Scheme in his support.
