In her unique protest, the woman in her early 40s highlighted the plight of villagers from Kale Ka Nagla and brought to fore long-neglected issues such as water logging and poor road conditions in the area.

Savitri finally came down two hours later - but not after receiving assurances from administrative and police officials, and taking her demonstration to a new height (pun intended).

Such was her steadfastness that SP city Sameer Saurabh and ADM finance and revenue Raj Kumar had to reach the spot and pacify her.
