STUDENTS OF Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar recently participated in a group discussion on the future vision for the City.
NGO Samarthan’s Executive Director Dr Yogesh Kumar who was the resource person at this one-day workshop-cum-group discussion on Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM), said, “An increasing share of the population now lives in urban India.
Urbanisation is a relentless process, which has comes to stay and has to be factored into all our developmental thinking and development process.”
Kumar stressed on generating awareness among people why planned infrastructure was the need of the hour. The students enthusiastically participated in the discussion and shared their views on the topic.
They also shared their curiosity and anxiety for the future development of the City as well as the country. Students asked different questions related to the scheme and showed their keen interest in the topic.
Students said they would be responsible citizens in the development of the country and would share the responsibility towards society and country. School principal Dr Jaishree Kanwar, administrative officer Dr Anil Srivastav, school coordinator BS Kushwah, were also present at the programme.
