The aura of the late actor Raaj Kumar surrounds her beautiful features. She is a little coy yet very confident, spiritually inclined and focused to achieve her dream to be on celluloid. Vastavikta is set to make her debut with Karan Razdan’s Eight – Shani this February.

Having done her degree in Arts from FIT Manhattan, New York, this beautiful girl has equipped herself well to take on the challenge of Bollywood, which was ruled by her father once. For two years, she took acting lessons under Vidur Sir, did workshops with Satyadev Dubey and Shernaz Patel. And knowing well, how our Hindi heroines have to be good in dancing, Vastavikta learnt Western jazz under Shiamak Davar and to perfect the nuances of Bollywood dancing, she went to Terrence Lewis classes. She discloses, "After my schooling and junior college in Mumbai, I went to New York for my graduation. It was a calculated decision to take up acting and hence I acquired all that is essential for an actor as a good student."

Raj Kumar's daughter Vastavikta is set to make her debut with Karan Razdan’s Eight –Shani. The film is a supernatural thriller.

"

Eight – Shani

did reminded me of my father’s film

Neelkamal

, which was and is such a beautiful movie. I loved the script and the character that was offered to me. I play Kamini in the film, who is a rich London girl. Since it is a supernatural suspense thriller, honestly I won’t be able to talk much about the film. You will have to watch the film," she discloses.

Eight – Shani

is likely to release in February and currently Vastavikta is busy shooting for two other films. When we ask about the other films, she says point blank, "I really cannot talk about them right now!"

Taking a trip down memory lane, Vastavikta recollects, "Papa never brought work home and that was the best part. He was an avid golfer and whenever he used to come back home, he would give us change and say – look what papa won today? As a child I guess we were very lucky because we got unconditional love from our parents. So childhood meant playing grounds, school and really carefree (smiles)."

One can watch Vastavikta and her co-star Raj Tara on ETC music channel every Saturday at 7.30 pm (they are the star of the month for February) as they share their favourite songs and trivia about the movie Eight – Shani.
