Vijay, Friends Club register easy wins

SARANSH JAIN and Ishan Panwar helped Vijay Club and Friends Club respectively to register outright win over their opponents in the Padam Shashi Memorial U-17 Cricket Tournament organised by Indore Divisional Cricket Association at Rajiv Gandhi and Emerald Heights International School grounds today.
The match between Vijay Club and Sunil Lahore Academy played at Rajiv Gandhi grounds was a one-sided one. Resuming their overnight score of 10/0, Sunil Lahore were bundled out for 114 runs. They were chasing a huge target of 385 scored by Vijay Club.
Vikas Mishra scored 27 runs with four boundaries, while Ritesh Mishra scored 24 with five boundaries. Rest of the batsmen failed to score.
Aabhas Joshi bowled well to grab 4/44, while Harshit Jain and Sachin Shinde took two wickets for six and 13 runs respectively. Trailing by 271 runs, Lahore Academy managed to score just 87 runs losing all the wickets.
Sunny Goud made 21 runs with three boundaries and a six, while Anish Gautam scored 28 runs. Saransh Jain took seven wickets for 47 in 15.4 overs. Aabhas Jain took two wickets for 33. Vijay Club won the match by an innings and 184 runs. Amay Kante won the man of the match award for his brilliant 137 runs.
In the second match played at Emerald Heights International Grounds, Friends Club defeated North Star by five wickets.
North Star was bundled out for 77 runs in reply to Friends Club’s 208. In the second innings North Star batted well to score 181.
Arihant Kala (41) and Gaurasv Vakharia (29) were the main scorers. Mr Extras contributed 29 runs to help their team to reach respectable score.
After scoring a century Ishan Panwar showed his class with ball capturing five wickets for 49 in 21 overs. Anshul Goyal gave good support to Ishan to grab three wickets for 59.
Chasing a target of just 51 runs, Friends Club lost their main five batsmen cheaply. Ishan Panwar scored 24 with three boundaries and one six.

The third match played between Star Club and MYCC ended on thrilling note as MYCC fought back and came close to winning but the tailenders of Star Club bailed out their team from the jaws of defeat. Star Club won the match on the basis of their first innings lead.
MYCC scored 145 runs in their first innings, while Star Club made 149/9 and declared their innings to go for an outright victory.
In the second innings MYCC scored 187/2 and declared their innings to win the match outright. Ishan Vyas scored an unbeaten 89 with 12 boundaries, while Aftaf Ansari made 64 with six boundaries.
Chasing a target of 187 Star Club slumped to 135/8 and saved the match from outright defeat. Ajay Parihar batted brilliantly to score 68 with 10 boundaries and a six. Aftaf Ansari bowled well to capture four wickets but could not help his team to win the match. Vishal Rao took two wickets for 28. Ajay Parihar was declared man of the match.
