Virender Sehwag towers above rest

When Virender Sehwag made his Test debut as a 23-year old in South Africa four years back, he was rated as highly talented but little did anyone imagine that the Najafgarh boy would fast emerge as a terror for bowlers the world over, even overshadowing Sachin Tendulkar with his desructive batting and growing popularity.
The young man, called a clone of Tendulkar in his early days for the similarity in his aggressive batting and appearance with that of the little master's, is now undoubtedly the number one willower of the Indian team both in terms of reliability and star value.

The world seemed to have taken note of his genius when he struck that epic 309 against Pakistan in Multan last march, in the process becoming the first Indian batsman to score a triple ton in Test.
Thereafter Sehwag has only gone from strength to strength. A look at his scores against Pakistan in the current series gives a clear picture of the influence that he exerts in both Tests and its shorter version.
