Biography:
One of the most important BJP leaders from Delhi, Professor Vijay Kumar Malhotra has been a seasoned politician. First time he was elected to the Lok Sabha in 1977, when the Congress was swept away in the emergency fall out. He was again elected to the Lok Sabha in 1989 and 1999.
He was also the member of the Rajya Sabha in 1994. He was the Chief Whip, BJP Parliamentary Party in the Rajya Sabha. He was also the chief of the Delhi unit of Janata Party and later the Bhartiya Janata Party.
