Wall collapse kills 28 in Tamil Nadu

A 15-feet tall wall collapses on the people sitting in a state-run liquor shop in Tirupur town, 70 km from Coimbatore.

At least 28 people were killed when the compound wall of a state-run liquor shop collapsed in Tirupur town, 70 km from Coimbatore, on Wednesday evening. Police sources said the 15-feet tall compound wall was recently erected by a hosiery unit.

Police said rescue efforts were on and there could be people trapped under the debris.
