War room case: Three sent to CBI custody

Three persons arrested by the CBI in the Navy's war room leak case were on Saturday produced before a Delhi court and remanded to three days' CBI custody.
Duty Metropolitan Magistrate SK Gautam remanded the three -- former Naval officer Vinay Kumar Jha, Mukesh Bajaj and Raj Rani Jaiswal -- to custody till April 10.
Jha, who was arrested in Muzaffarpur, Bihar on April 6, was brought on transit remand to Delhi, while Bajaj and Jaiswal were arrested on the same day in Pune.
Two former Naval officers, Kulbhushan Parashar and Vinod Rana, arrested by the investigating agency are presently in CBI custody.
The CBI had registered a case in connection with the leakage against nine persons under the Official Secrets Act after the Defence Ministry handed over the probe to it.
As part of the investigation, CBI conducted raids in 17 places including the national capital, Goa, Chandigarh and Mumbai.
The agency also swooped down on the premises of Ravi Shankaran, a relative of Navy chief Admiral Arun Prakash.
