Warehousing complex soon at Yamuna goods shed

NORTH CENTRAL Railway along with Central Warehousing Corporation has agreed for setting up warehousing complex at Yamuna Bridge goods shed. The CPRO NCR, Bagish Pandey said that a memorandum of understanding was signed today in the presence of NCR General Manager Budh Prakash and Managing Director, Central Warehousing Corporation NK Chaubey.

The CPRO NCR, Bagish Pandey said that a memorandum of understanding was signed today in the presence of NCR General Manager Budh Prakash and Managing Director, Central Warehousing Corporation NK Chaubey. Senior Divisonal Commercial Manager Agra, PK Pandey on behalf of Indian Railways and Regional Manager Pawan Kant on behalf of CWC signed the MoU. He said at present Yamuna Bridge Goods Shed is dealing on an average of 30-35 rakes per month of cement, fertilizer, food grain, tractors and other commodities. With the construction of warehousing, the traders would be facilitated round the clock in loading, unloading, stacking, storing in all seasons.

‘Traders will be free from demurrage and other charges and railway will also get the benefit of early placement and release and in turn will arrange to deal more rakes easily’, he added.

He informed that Central Warehousing Corporation has already made warehousing facilities in Bangalore, Bhopal, Shakurbasti (Delhi), Alamnagar (Lucknow) on market rates. Central warehousing corporation will provide the facility of transportation of goods to anf from the godowns of traders/merchants in addition to the facilities of storing, stacking etc at reasonable rates. Central warehousing corporation will also provide basic facilities like canteen, electric fan, water, sitting arrangements etc for their customers.
