Warrant issued against Sunny Deol!

The warrant issued by a Metropolitan Magistrate charges Ajay Singh Deol alias Sunny Deol under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act which deals with offence of dishonouring of cheque.

A local court has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against Bollywood actor Sunny Deol in a cheque-dishonour case.

The warrant issued by a Metropolitan Magistrate charges Ajay Singh Deol alias Sunny Deol under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act which deals with offence of dishonouring of cheque.

City-based Bonik Travel Agency is the complainant in the case. Deol had purchased Mumbai - London air tickets from the agency and had paid off through a cheque.

However the cheque bounced, the agency claimed adding it had written to Deol in this regard but did not get any response.

The warrant, issued on October 15, is returnable on February 14, 2006.
