The food served at this stall is as genuinely Kashmiri as you can get in this city. The meat balls - rista and gushtaba - taste just like what you get at roadside eateries on the other side of the Banihal tunnel. Dead-on authentic. The limited options for the veggies are also worth checking out. Paneer Chaman (paneer squares in a delicious red gravy) is a winner, as is the Rajmah (kidney beans), which is cooked the way it is in Jammu. A cup of hot Saffron Kahwa is an absolute must after a wholesome dinner, though it's not steeped in cinnamon (dalchini) as it would be back in the Valley.
