The Indian tennis star's decision to marry Pakistan cricketer, Shoaib Malik has created quite a stir. As people from both the countries speculate on the change in bilateral ties that this union will make, Sania Mirza has something else on her mind.

Seemingly, the 23-year-old tennis ace wants to enjoy the excitement of getting married like any other young girl. "Right now I'm more concerned about what my dress is going to look like and distributing wedding cards," she told a news channel.

Mirza added, "I know we have been achievers in our fields and have been in the public glare, we both understand all this, but every step is not taken to make a statement."

The tennis star has asked people not to make a big deal about her marriage with the Pakistan cricketer. "Sometimes just let a person be normal, and not a star, hundreds of people get married across borders, there's never a hue and cry about it," she added.

The wedding between the sports icons will take place in April this year.
