The Zest New Year Bash 2010, organised by P3Party, has — besides the gimmicks already mentioned — rope artists, an aerial hoop, and ‘shot girls’ , or hostesses who carry in test-tubes or shot glasses. The party will have a 100-foot bar with unlimited premium alcohol. The price? Rs 7,000 on economy class, and Rs 10,000 for ‘VIPs’. The difference: private butlers for the VIPs.
The party will be held at the Nitish Kunj farm on National Highway 8 and the organisers plan to pitch 1,500 people into a 20,000-square-foot area.
“The VIPs will get their own private tables, with personal butlers to attend to them and a private bar,” says Aayush Bansal, 22, of P3Party. He has 350 confirmed guests till this weekend.
The New Year’s Eve White Party 2010 is an event tagged by My Purple Martini, a nightlife web portal, as ‘Delhi’s Craziest New Year Party’.
This one will be held at Thai High, a restaurant in Mehrauli. The organisers promise a long night of ‘unlimited music and drinks’, live performances and a variety of food. Passes for the party cost Rs 6,000 for couples and stags. Don’t be confused about the party’s name — the stand-out factor is that everyone must dress in white.
The Twisted Addiction 2010 is another party to watch out for. It will be held at Hotel Daffodils, Tivoli Gardens. The theme is fire.
The organiser claims that the party will not use any electric lights. The place will be lit with fire torches and fireballs. It will also feature shadow dancing and juggling acts.
“We are expecting some 1,000 people,” said Shradha Kumar, 23, of Party Factory, which is collaborating with Directors Design for the event.
“We are bringing in DJ Khushi, who will be belting out Bollywood beats along with percussionists.” Passes for Twisted Addiction cost Rs 5,000 to Rs 8,000. The VIPs, who of will pay the highest, will get private shacks, a special menu, a bottle of champagne and a personal bartender, promises Kumar.
Intoxication 2010 at The Grand Hotel, too, will have a laser show and exotic dancers. Its planners claim they will have four ‘public’ bars along with a number of private ones. Their music will be mainly Bollywood and Hip Hop.
The Intoxication party will cater to only 300 to 400 people, and passes cost Rs 4,000 each.
