When Cruise surprised Spielberg

Spielberg was speechless when Cruise walked on stage to present him with an award at the Chicago Film Festival.

Actor Tom Cruise surprised Oscar winning director Steven Spielberg when he appeared unexpectedly at the Chicago Film Festival to honour him.

According to imdb.com, Spielberg was speechless for a while when Cruise walked on stage to present him with a Golden Hugo Lifetime Achievement Award.

Cruise told the surprised audience: "I had the great pleasure of meeting Steven. And you took me to dinner when I was a young actor. I have seen every one of his films many, many times. I actually study his films."

Other celebrities there included Harrison Ford, George Lucas and Catherine Zeta-Jones. They all sent him congratulatory video messages.
