More than 50 participants from various schools and colleges showcased their talent on the stage set up especially for them.

The event was inaugurated by Justice AK Yog of Allahabad High Court. Justice PR Mishra, IG Zone AC Sharma, Commissioner Dr Lalit Verma and other prominent personalities were present on the occasion.

The entire event was an effort by City Television to provide a definite platform to the young and budding artistes through which they could express their talent. It was held in two sessions.

The participants competed under the categories of 11 to 15 years and above 15 years.

The dance item presented by young dancer Shibli Kapur was appreciated by the audience who presented the kathak number from the movie 'Devdas'.

Several other participants too won a rave round of applause for their foot-tapping dance numbers.

Likewise there was also the patriotic song competition in which the singers from various schools and colleges participated.

Ranging from the songs of the present movies to that of the old ones, the singers left no stone unturned to prove their mettle.

In the second session of the event, a felicitation function was held in which the people belonging to different fields were felicitated after analysing their achievements for the entire year.

Those felicitated were District Magistrate Amrit Abhijat, CO Rajeshwar Singh, Dr Ajai Jaitly, Reader Visual Art Department, Allahabad University, Anil Ranjan Bhowmick, theatre artiste, Abhilash Narayan, senior journalist, Dr Narendra Kumar Singh Gaur (politician), Piyush Srivastav (education), Bageesh Pandey, NCR CPRO (publicity), Dr Maneesha Dwivedi (medicine), Amit Kumar Patel (athletics) and Vijay Shanker Mishra (legal profession).
