American pop diva Whitney Houston has requested a superior court to speed up the proceedings of divorce trial between her and R&B singer Bobby Brown.
Gossip website celbtv.com on Thursday revealed that the singer sought a default judgement from Orange County superior court, a legal move that could speed up the divorce proceedings.
The 43-year-old singer also sought the custody of the couple's 13-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina, with visitation rights for Bobby.
The court papers state there are "no issues of division of community property" between the couple who married in 1992, reports Contactmusic.
New Jersey-born Whitney is rumoured to be working on her new album in collaborations with hip hop stars Akon and Missy Elliot, which she is expected to release this year.
She has already sold a massive 120 million albums worldwide.
Whitney is also said to have plans to record a new song with her mother Cissy Houston, cousin Dionne Warwick, daughter, and some other relatives next year.
