A TV advertisement of an anti-hair loss laser treatment featuring Australian leggie Shane Warne has been dubbed as false and untrue by Britain's advertising watchdog Advertising Standards Authority.

It said that the advertisement misled the general public, as the radiation method claiming to prevent baldness, was actually ineffective.

Veteran England cricketer Graham Gooch and Rugby ace Austin Healey also featured in the ad along with the Australian bowler, with all three saying that they "re-grew" their hair after applying the radiation method.

The Advanced Hair Studio failed to prove its radiation method prevented baldness, The Sun quoted the Advertising Standards Authority as saying.

Meanwhile, reacting to the criticism, the Advanced Hair Studio said: "We've acted in good faith."
