Wife seeks justice for man killed in communal flare-up in Khandwa
Thirteen days after Sushil Kumar Pundgey, an insurance employee, was stabbed to death in Khandwa during the communal flare-up, his wife has sat on an indefinite dharna demanding justice.
Thirteen days after Sushil Kumar Pundgey (32), an insurance employee, was stabbed to death at Hatampura area of Khandwa under Moghat police station on June 30 during the communal flare-up, his wife has sat on an indefinite dharna demanding justice.
Sushil’s wife Meena Pundgey, along with several women took out a march from her residence in Narmadapuram and sat on the indefinite dharna at Ghanta Ghar area on Tuesday.
"I want justice as even after 13 days of my husband’s death, the accused are yet to be arrested. I am not satisfied with the investigation. I want the people who killed my husband and the conspirators of he murder soon," she said.
Many local party leaders of BJP and Congress were present at the dharna venue.
When contacted, assistant superintendent of police (ASP) Gopal Khandel said investigation in the case is on.
"The investigation is underway and we were examining each and every aspect of the incident. We hope that the persons who were involved in the conspiracy and in the murder will soon be nabbed by police," the ASP said.
